Black Olive & Walnut Tapenade

We added walnuts to this typical Mediterranean-style spread for extra flavor, texture and loads of healthy nutrients such as anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants such as vitamin E, melatonin and polyphenolic acids plus various minerals. It all comes together quickly in the NutraMilk for a delicious spread that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or snack.


  • 1 cup drained, pitted black olives
  • 25 small-sized capers
  • 1 garlic clove peeled
  • 10 sun-dried tomatoes in oil without the oil
  • 20 basil leaves
  • ¾ cup walnuts
  • ¼ tsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil or more or less, to taste


  • Add all ingredients to the NutraMilk.
  • Process until all ingredients are well combined and you achieve texture you desire. I like a bit of texture so I did not over process but if you want a creamy consistency, process a few minutes.

  • Serve with crackers for a delicious snack, appetizer, sandwich spread or side. Enjoy!
