Walnut Almond Fig Smoothie

Indulge with this delicious smoothie while nourishing your body with vitamins such as vitamin E, vitamin B6, riboflavin; minerals such as potassium, magnesium and phosphorus; anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids; a ton of fiber and antioxidants.

If your not using the smoothie bowl: Make sure you scoop up what´s left in the container and add to your smoothie- this goodness is fiber rich - cardio protective, supports digestion, helps maintain blood sugars stable and will help you feel full for longer- you don’t want it to go to waste.

INGREDIENTS  

  • 1 quart water (946 mL)
  • 1¼ cup fresh figs (195 g) or 1 cup chopped dried figs (155 g)
  • 1 cup banana (237mL) (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup walnuts (53 g)
  • ½ cup almonds (75 g)
  • 2 medium to large pitted Medjool dates

*( Yield 4¼ cups /1.005 L)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place walnuts and almonds in the NutraMilk container.
  • Press Butter cycle, set for 3-4 minutes.
  • Press Start.
  • Open the container lid, add figs, dates, and banana. Replace lid.

  • Press Butter cycle, set for 2-3 minutes (depending on fresh or frozen).
  • Press Start.

  • Open the container lid, add the water. Replace lid.
  • Press Mix (do not change this default time).
  • Press Start.
  • Press Dispense.
  • Press Start and remove spigot to fill your storage container.
  • Scoop the yummy bits of fruit left in the container and add to your smoothie.
