Coconut Papaya Smoothie

This is a simple, quick smoothie to prepare. You can add any additional fruits, veggies, nutritional powders, nut butters, sweeteners, or other ingredients that you like. But the simple combination of the tropical flavors of papaya and coconut milk made with the NutraMilk is enough for a delicious beverage. One serving provides only 199 calories!

INGREDIENTS

For Coconut Milk (yields 6 cups)

  • 2 cups (160g) of unsweetened dried coconut
  • 1 ½ quarts (6 cups) of water

For smoothie

  • 1 cup papaya, cut in chunks
  • Any other ingredients you desire such as banana or any other fruits, sweetener, etc. 

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Making coconut milk from dehydrated coconut
    • Place the unsweetened dried coconut in the NutraMilk container.
    • Press Butter cycle, set for 1 minute.
    • Press Start.
    • Open the container lid and add 1 cup of water. Replace lid.
    • Press Butter cycle, set for 1 minute.
    • Press Start.
    • Repeat this step for each cup of water, until you have used all 6 cups.
    • Press Mix (do not change the default time)
    • Press Dispense.
    • Press Start and open spigot to fill your storage container.

*you can use more or less water depending on how full-bodied you want the milk to be.

  • To make one serving of the smoothie: Place 1 cup of the coconut milk you have dispensed in your container back into the NutraMilk along with 1 cup of papaya and Mix until it´s creamy and smooth.
  • Press Dispense.
  • Press Start and remove spigot to fill your storage container.
  • *You can also make a bigger batch of the smoothie without dispensing the coconut milk. When you make the coconut milk, instead of dispensing it, first add your papaya, then Mix and dispense. Enjoy!
