Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

This thick, creamy, chocolatey smoothie bowl is made with natural peanut butter and almond milk from our NutraMilk. All plant-based ingredients, vegan, paleo, and whole 30 friendly.

INGREDIENTS

For smoothie

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/3 – 1/2 cup almond milk made with the NutraMilk
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter made with the NutraMilk
  • 2 tbsp. cacao powder
  • 2-3 Medjool dates, pitted* 

Toppings (optional)

  • 2 tsp. peanut butter made with the NutraMilk
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds
  • granola of choice
  • ½ banana, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds

For almond milk

  • 1 cup (150g) almonds
  • 1 quart (946ml) water
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional) 

For peanut butter

  • 2 cups (275g) peanuts (untoasted, unsalted)
  • pinch salt (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS 

For almond Milk

  • Start by making fresh almond milk with the NutraMilk:
    • Place almonds in the NutraMilk container.
    • Press Butter cycle, set for 7 minutes.
    • Press Start.
    • Add water and replace lid.
    • Press Mix (do not change the default Mix time).
    • Press Start.
    • Press Dispense, open spigot and fill your container with almond milk. 
  • Making the peanut butter

    • Place peanuts in the NutraMilk container.
    • Press Butter cycle, set for 2-3 minutes.
    • Press Start.
    • Open the container lid.
    • If necessary, set for an additional 1-2 minutes for a creamier butter. 
  • Add all smoothie ingredients to the NutraMilk and press ¨Mix¨ for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.

  • Pour out smoothie into a bowl and decorate with toppings of choice. To make a swirl, simply drizzle the peanut butter around the bowl and use a knife to swirl it around, then add toppings. Enjoy!

Notes:

*Omit dates if you are on a Keto diet. You can substitute for approved veto sweetener.
