Turmeric tea is perfect for this time of year. Thanks to the compound called Curcumin, turmeric has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. This warming tea is nourishing and can help heal many conditions. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
For cashew milk
- 1 cup (150g) cashews
- 1/8 teaspoon Pink Himalayan salt (optional)
For turmeric tea
- 1 dandelion root tea bag
- 1 cup cashew milk made with the NutraMilk
- 1 tbsp. turmeric
- 1 tbsp. honey
INSTRUCTIONS
For cashew Milk
- Start by making fresh cashew milk with the NutraMilk:
- Place cashews in the NutraMilk container.
- Press Butter cycle, set for 3 minutes.
- Press Start.
- Open the container lid, add water and replace lid.
- Press Mix (do not change the default Mix time).
- Press Start.
- Press Dispense.
- Press Start and open spigot to fill your storage container.
- In a heatproof mug, steep tea bag in 1/2 cup hot water 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, simmer cashew milk, turmeric, and honey 10 minutes.
- Remove tea bag; pour in milk mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
