Wonderfully delicious pistachio nuts have long been cherished as the symbol of wellness and robust health since ancient times. Known as the Skinny Nut because pistachios are one of the lowest calorie and lowest fat nuts. Each nut has only 3 calories. They are currently being cultivated on a larger scale in the USA, Iran, Syria, Turkey, and China. California produces 98.5% of the nation's pistachios.

In Iran it is called the "smiling pistachio" and in China the "happy nut."
