Simple Cashew Milk
Cashews are especially rich in heart healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA’s), similar to those found in olive oil. They have the highest content of copper & zinc than any other nut. One 8 oz. glass provides 23 cashews which translates to 15% Daily Value (DV*) of zinc, 14% DV of iron, 27% DV of magnesium, 22% DV of potassium, 11% DV of thiamin and many other essential minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.
Each nutrient plays its part in providing bone strength and joint flexibility, discouraging migraines, improving memory, lowering blood pressure, and protecting against UV damage, heart disease, and cancer.
This alternative milk is a good source of macro and micronutrients, including:
- Plant protein
- Heart healthy fats (MUFA’s)
*Percent Daily Value (DV) references how much a certain nutrient contributes in one serving of food in relation to their requirement.
